S Reich & Co Cloud Glass

S Reich & Co was founded in 1813 by Samuel Reich in  the town of Krasna, Czechoslovakia. The company appears to have produced a limited range of items in Cloud Glass. Although the styles were introduced in the late 1920s, it is not known when they made them in Cloud Glass.

Copies of Reich catalogues from 1860 to 1936 can be found on Siegmar Geiselberger's Pressglas-Korrespondenz web site at www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de.

We will be expanding this page in due course.

The tray came in two sizes 29 by 21 cm and 28 by 12 cm. The powder jars are 12 cm and 9 cm diameter. As well as the candlesticks shown in the image, a taller candlestick with a drip tray also appears as part of the set but we have not seen this taller candlestick in Cloud Glass.

Reich Pattern No:  Tea Service
 Known Cloud Colours:  Sepia
 Size(s):
 Date Range: Unknown
 Description:  This complete tea service in Sepia Cloud Glass appeared on EBay in late 2002. The set was in it's original box and some of the pieces still had the original label with the name 'JSAR Krystall'. The label bears a strong resemblance to known S Reich labels and we think this is a later variant of the same company.
